Congratulations on expecting your new bundle of joy! This is such a special time that marks the beginning of a new life. When choosing a photographer for your maternity portraits, you will want to find someone who is dedicated to making the most of your session. As a mother of two, I understand the importance, excitement, and priceless moments of your pregnancy as you prepare to welcome your newborn. I take time with all my maternity sessions to ensure you get a gallery of beautiful, quality portraits as well as candid moments of love, laughter and emotion. Each session is more than just a pose in front of a backdrop; it is a photo–journal of your pregnancy that provides images you will cherish for a lifetime. I will work with you ahead of time and during your session to be certain we achieve your vision for your maternity portraits.
Newborn
Baby is finally HERE! This is such a special occasion for you and your entire family. When choosing a photographer for your newborn portraits, you will want someone who is dedicated to welcoming your new baby into the world. I take time with all my newborn sessions to ensure you get a gallery of beautiful, quality portraits. Each session is arranged especially for you to provide images you will cherish for a lifetime. I will work with you ahead of time and during your session to be certain we achieve your vision for your newborn portraits.
As I do not own a studio, newborn sessions take place in your own home where I photograph you in an everyday setting. I will bring photography props to set up in a small space in your home as well as take pictures in the baby’s crib, bassinet, swing, etc. I will also include poses with the parents.
Special care is taken at these sessions to ensure the comfort and safety of your newborn. It is best to photograph newborns under 10 days old, however I will take sessions up to 14 days old. Newborns need a soft and warm environment to be comfortable. I recommend that you increase the heat in your home an hour or two before the session so your baby is comfortable in just a diaper; I can also provide a space heater if needed. We will try to schedule your session during baby’s sleepy time, but I will accommodate all needs for feeding and breaks as necessary. As much as I will oblige to your requests for posing, I will only photograph babies in poses that I deem are safe and comfortable.
